I took Kane on to assist with my business levels as I feel I have too many clients and we can't do the full role for them and we're missing opportunities. The plan therefore is that going forward we will share my leads and business and at the same time and as he gains in experience start to bring in his own business.
Hats Iris gains 80% of it's business from my client bank - which is remortgaging, existing clients moving and referrals from existing clients. The rest comes from networking and an introducer. Kane has already started networking so my plan is for him to continue with this.
Initially we will be giving him business from the client bank - so there will be a source of leads for him to use to get him to Competent Adviser Status and then beyond. We will be fully supporting him with his training (sitting in on appointments) and Anna (admin support) to support with compliance and administration.
Over the last 3 months we've averaged 10 mortgages a month - however I would be looking for Kane to take on about half of that and then build himself up.
Kane is employed by Hats Iris and this will continue for the short term. He is CeMAP qualified but has little experience so we have been fully supporting him to date. Nicole provided me with a Training Track which we have been using with Kane to bring him up to speed with the industry - he chose a very good time to join us with the market as it is!
