I am the registered director of a small business in South Africa. Your Office Shop (PTY) Ltd. This was the business that I was actively engaged in between 2017 & 2021. The business currently has no employees, no assets and no debt. I was going to close the business when we emigrated to the U.K, but decided to leave it open as it still generates a small amount of passive, annuity income. To put the size of this income into perspective, the annual income is only around R 150,000, which is the equivalent of £ 4,000 if you were to convert the currency. It can be argued that it is not worth keeping the business open. When the annuity income stops, I will probably close it down |
